There are so many wonderful Michigan wedding venues that I know how difficult it can be to narrow down that search. Let’s start here: with golf club wedding venues. Golf clubs can be the perfect wedding venue for you. Most golf clubs offer onsite catering and bartending, so if you’re wanting a venue that’s more all-inclusive these are the ones you’ll want to check out! East Michigan Golf Club Venues
Cherry Creek Golf Club in Shelby Township

Cherry Creek is an elegant, classic feeling wedding venue located north of Detroit. This space is covered in windows, letting in beautiful natural light throughout the day and evening. Cherry Creek is a venue that includes catering and bartending. The food here was quite tasty, and has the options to serve a plated meal, family style, or buffet. After a delicious multi-course dinner, your guests will get their dessert from a loaded table. Think macarons, chocolate fountain, fruit, eclairs, cream puffs, cakes, and more. Cherry Creek offers dessert spreads with their catering and it was quite a favorite for the guests!
Cherry Creek offers different spaces available for your day, and it’s based around your guest count. This venue is ideal for larger events, but can host smaller micro-weddings as well. The outdoor ceremony space looks out over the rolling green hills of the golf course and a blue pond. A patio is available to use for an outdoor cocktail hour. This space is complete with outdoor seating and a bar cart- this is located right off to the side of the ceremony spot! The inside of Cherry Creek is where the party happens. You’ll start your reception off with dinner inside and dancing under the conservatory’s high ceilings. If you’re looking for an elegant, timeless, and charming vibe, this venue is the one. Fernhill Golf Club in Clinton Township

- Catie’s Pro Tip: Up-lighting at this venue will really set the mood for your reception- whether you prefer ambient lighting for a moodier dinner, or colorful lighting for something playful, the lighting at this venue makes the party!
Fernhill Golf Club is located on Michigan’s east side. Tucked into the city, this peaceful golf club is large enough to host your wedding day. Most weddings I’ve been to at this venue don’t come close to the 700 guest limit and are instead 150-250 guests. Like Cherry Creek, Fernhill offers on-site catering and bartending. From plated dinners to family style to buffet, the food here is really good. Guests will enjoy both cold and hot appetizers during cocktail hour along with specialty drinks. Dinner is usually a multi-course meal while the bar is closed. I once worked a wedding here where the specialty drinks were all martinis- the couple had an exclusive martini bar to make it feel more like a nightclub.
Fernhill Golf Course does have a couple ceremony spaces- there’s a new indoor chapel and an outdoor patio. The beautiful greens of the courses and trees are a great backdrop for your outdoor ceremony. Space at this patio is limited though, so most couples I work with at this venue host a traditional church ceremony with their reception here. Mid Michigan Golf Club Venues
Atlas Valley Golf Club in Grand Blanc

- Catie’s Pro Tip: To keep things simple day of, use the bridal and groom getting ready suites on site!
Atlas Valley Golf Club is located around the Grand Blanc area in Mid Michigan. Featuring getting ready spaces, an indoor ceremony space, cocktail hour patio, and expansive reception space, this venue is pretty all-inclusive. Catering and bartending services are in-house at Atlas Valley Golf Club, and the venue is also kind enough to provide golf carts for portrait times!
Couples can truly spend their entire day at this venue since getting ready is on-site. The getting ready suites are probably my favorite part of Atlas Valley. The bridal suite is light and airy with a kitchenette space fit for brunch and champagne. Adorned with mirrors, pink rugs, and pink couches, this space is very feminine. There are two rooms connected to each other- one space is typically used for hair and makeup services while the other is more for relaxing and eating. This suite is located in the upstairs portion of the venue.
The men’s getting ready space is adorned in leather and green to reflect the vibes of a golf course. With 2 TVs in the space, your party will be able to watch football without missing a play. This space also has a mini bar/kitchenette space, and a virtual golf simulator. The groomsmen I worked with in this space loved the simulator. It kept them entertained until they needed to be dressed and ready. Groomsmen will actually get dressed in the connected locker room, which really brings a game day vibe to getting ready!
Lapeer Country Club

Lapeer Country Club is tucked into the countryside of Lapeer, Michigan. Overlooking a pond and rolling green golf courses, this venue features gorgeous windows in their indoor ceremony space. An outdoor ceremony space is also available to couples and is set against a white gazebo right off to the side of the golf course. Cocktail hour and reception spaces are both inside the golf club.
The Lapeer Country Club cost is centered around your guest count. This is because they offer in-house catering and bartending and charge per guest for dinner and bar service. When looking for a golf course venue, I always recommend having a rough guest list since the number of guests heavily influence the cost at these venue. It doesn’t have to be 100% finalized, but a rough estimate of how many you have will give you an idea to the final cost of the venue. Northern Michigan Golf Club Venue
Cadillac Grill in Cadillac Michigan

- Style: lodge style golf clubhouse with odes to vintage cars throughout the space
- Catie’s Pro Tip: The vintage cars onsite at this golf club make the perfect photo opportunity for guests- they’ll love seeing them!
Cadillac Grill is the restaurant onsite the El Dorado golf course, located in Cadillac Michigan. This northern Michigan space has two vintage Cadillac El Dorados in the lobby and is the namesake of the space. Both cars are in impeccable condition. The bright red finishes of the vehicles brings a bright cheeriness to the space, and guests love the history of the cars!
Cadillac Grill was the site of my couple’s rehearsal dinner for their weekend wedding up north. While I only attended the rehearsal at this space, I know the lodges hosts weddings and other events as well. This building overlooks the rolling green golf course on property and features windows across the entire length of the building. The inside feels more lodge-like to me with the tresses and architecture- very true to northern Michigan and its ties to nature.
