Adams Manor Wedding and Venue Expert Guide

Adams Manor Wedding Venue in Southeast Michigan

adams manor

Nestled against the rolling green hills of Oakland Township sits historic manor style venue Adams Manor. Known for its timeless beauty and old money & vintage style, this wedding venue sits on 40 private acres of land and hosts celebrations all throughout the year. As a Southeast Michigan wedding photographer who’s worked 70+ weddings, I’ve had the privilege of working at many beautiful venues across our state and know all the best venues.

Heading into my fourth year of wedding photography, I’m a big believer in a wedding photography experience rooted in authenticity and connection. You want wedding images that are true to you and your day: the spontaneous hugs between them and guests, the laughs as you & guests collectively sing “Love Story” or “Pink Pony Club”, the choked up tears as you read your vows. All moments you’ll want to remember after you spend the day fully present.

The first step to your wedding journey is selecting the perfect venue to host your celebration, and it all starts at Adams Manor. Located in Southeast Michigan, you’ll be removed from the bustling life of the city while also not being far from it at all. If you’re looking for a venue that is historic and vintage in style, but also with the allure of lush green hills and creeks, then Adams Manor is the perfect venue for you.

About Adams Manor

Adams Manor offers you an exclusive wedding experience. With no other weddings hosted on site during your celebration, you don’t have to be nervous about running into another wedding party. When you book with Adams Manor, you’re booking the entire property for your day (or weekend, but more on that later).

This estate was built in 1932 and was inspired in design by English Tudor-style architecture. With artwork and architectural work dedicated to Old World craftsmanship, this venue offers a timeless beauty you just won’t find anywhere else. It’s truly unique in design and will leave you with stunning wedding photos (which you can connect with me here about), impressed guests, and an experience truly rooted in preserving your love.

This wedding venue has many different areas included in the estate rental. You will have access to 2 getting ready suites adorned with mirrors, natural light, and furniture. A new speakeasy has opened right next door to the ballroom space, giving you old-money vibes that’ll make for the best portraits. Multiple outdoor locations like Trout Creek, natural pond, and fire pit. With such a large estate, you’ll also get to decide where on the property you’ll host different parts of your day (think ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception).

Ceremony and Reception Spaces at Adams Manor

Wedding celebrations at Adams Manor can accommodate up to 150 guests and can be hosted in a few different spaces. If you’re interested in learning more about the photo side of working at Adams Manor, you can check out my wedding services here or check my availability here.

Ceremony Spaces

With the perfect floral arch, wedding ceremonies at Adams Manor are often outdoors in the summer and early fall. Right alongside the back of the manor couples can hold their ceremony looking over the trees and creek. Another option is for couples to go a little further out, closer to the pond, so that the manor is in view of their guests. For indoor ceremony spaces you’ll be limited to the ballroom just due to its size. The manor is a home, so any other indoor rooms would be too small for a ceremony!

Reception Areas

Similar to the ceremony areas, Adams Manor has the space to accommodate a reception both indoors and out. Starting with a speakeasy cocktail hour, guests will be able to grab a drink and socialize right outside on the patio. Moving into the dinner and more formal parts of the reception, you could host an intimate evening in the ballroom or keep the party outdoors. With a tent, you’ll be able to have an outdoor reception right up against the manor that is protected from harsh sun.

My 3 Favorite Things About Adams Manor

The Bridal Suite

Filled with natural light and the softest neutrals, the bridal suite is perfect for a group or just you getting ready for your wedding day. With mirrors throughout the space you’ll be able to be onsite for hair and makeup services rather than getting ready offsite. The suite looks out over the property, so you’ll be able to see guests arriving and mingling before your ceremony!

The Staircase

If there’s anything to know about me, just know I love a dramatically moody staircase portrait. This staircase is perfect for solo or couple portraits and is located near the front door of the manor. It’s actually tucked away from guests, so it’s the perfect spot for a first look or private moment during the day.

Rehearsal Dinner Space

If you have the opportunity, I highly recommend booking Adams Manor for a wedding weekend experience. The back porch of the manor looks out over the property and is the perfect size for an intimate rehearsal dinner to kick off the weekend’s festivities. With a dreamy table-scape, you’ll set the tone for the weekend and relax over curated cocktails and a delicious dinner.

Meet Your Southeast Michigan Wedding Photographer

About Catie Eovaldi

Hi friend- as previously mentioned I’m a Southeast Michigan wedding photographer and the author of this blog post. My favorite part of wedding photography is documenting a day as it naturally unfolds- the space throughout the day we leave for spontaneous moments is often where the magic happens. I don’t schedule tightly packed to the minute timelines, I leave room for spontaneity and emotions.

I specialize in digital and 35mm photography, documenting candid moments throughout the day while providing gentle guidance and structure to portraits. My mission is to always serve my couples as a friend and provide them with a gallery they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives.
