About Impression Farms

Impression Farms is a serene country-side wedding venue located just outside of the Port Huron area. Featuring a rustic red barn, a bridal suite, and multiple outdoor ceremony sites, this wedding venue is a premier barn venue in St Clair County.

As a Port Huron wedding photographer who’s photographed a lot of weddings, I’ve visited a lot of wedding venues in Michigan. The beginning of your wedding planning journey starts with the hunt for a venue. It’s important to find a venue that aligns with you- whether you want a rustic setting to reflect your relaxed nature or an eclectic arcade to show your fun side, there’s a venue out there for you!

Hi, friend! I’m Catie Eovaldi and I’ve been photographing weddings for the past 3 years. Heading into my fourth year of wedding photography, I believe your wedding photos should transport you back to the moments showcased throughout your photo album. These photos are ones you’ll look back on for the rest of your life, and it’s important to find a photographer who values these moments just as much as you do.

Jenna and Joe decided Impression Farms was the perfect venue for them. Being local farmers and serving our country in the Air Force, this couple found a venue that reflected their love of nature and being outdoors while also being close to their own farmstead.

Getting Ready at the Farm

Getting Ready Suites

Impression Farms has one suite for getting ready on the property. Jenna and her five bridesmaids spent an early morning getting ready for the day together in the suite. The girls were all so happy and Jenna was absolutely glowing with excitement throughout their time spent together.

The suite was large enough for Jenna and her bridesmaids to comfortably relax in between hair and make up services. With salon style seating and large mirrors, bridal parties will be able to get ready on site and truly be in one place all day long. This eliminates the stress of multiple locations and driving times between locations.

Private Prayer and First Touch

Jenna and Joe had opted to do a first touch rather than a first look. The difference between the two is a first touch is typically done back to back or around a corner from each other- you won’t be able to see each other, but you’re close enough to hold hands! A first look is where you both see each other for the first time on the wedding day, all dressed up.

For their first touch, I tucked them behind a large tree. The tree provided enough cover from early guests arriving and also ensured this moment stayed private between the couple. With some private time together, they prayed over one another and prepared for their ceremony.

I also captured the sweetest moment of Jenna’s dad fixing Joe’s tie right before the ceremony. Parents being involved in your wedding is already special, but when parents treat your partner as their own it’s heart meltingly sweet. I love capturing small moments like these ones. Outdoor Wedding Ceremony at Impression Farms

impression farms wedding ceremony space

Impression Farms has multiple spots where your ceremony can be, but for Jenna and Joe’s day we were out in a field. Surrounded by fall trees, tall grass, and accented with a wooden arch this space is perfect for a fall outdoor wedding.

When it came time to say their vows, this couple had chosen to write and say their own. Jenna’s vows were flawless and she said them with a huge smile on her face the whole time. She glowed with happiness as she read from her vow book. Joe’s vows, while still happy, were really emotional. He choked up a couple times, which resulted in Jenna comforting him in the moment. It was a sweet moment to witness!

At the end of the ceremony, Jenna and Joe were so happy and beaming with love in their eyes. Jenna danced back up the aisle to “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” because she just couldn’t contain her happiness. Impression Farms Reception

Back at the red barn, guests were sipping on wine and anxiously awaiting the couple’s grand entrance to the reception. With the barn beautifully decorated, they were ready to kick off the party and celebrate Jenna and Joe. The couple’s grand entrance was incredibly cute and really reflected their fun personalities- Jenna and Joe made their entrance to “We Go Together” from Grease. The couple danced the hand jive for their entrance and the guests were full of smiles.

Jenna had a couple little surprises after dinner. The first was a mother and daughter dance that was the sweetest. She wanted to acknowledge all the hard work her mom put into her day and thank her for being her rock throughout her life. This moment was made even sweeter when Jenna was joined by her sisters during the dance.

The second surprise of the evening was an outfit change. Jenna slipped into a reception dress to be a little more comfortable throughout the evening for dancing. This lacy gown perfectly complimented the rustic element of the barn venue, and was breezy for a warm evening on the dance floor.

Your Impression Farms Wedding Photographer

About Me

Hi friend! I’m Catie Eovaldi- author of this post and your Southeast & Mid Michigan wedding photographer. I often travel for wedding days all over Michigan and specialize in capturing moments rooted in connection and authenticity. My favorite part of wedding photography is documenting a day as it unfolds- the emotions as dad walks you down the aisle, the tears mom has in her eyes seeing you as a groom, your dog running down the aisle in excitement to see you. Every wedding has been so unique and special in its own way and documenting it is such an honor.

Something unique about my services is my inclusion of Polaroids. I’m a big believer that photos deserve a life outside your phone or computer. I print every couple I work with Polaroids and gift them at the end of their wedding day. They leave their wedding with photos immediately and have something tangible to look at the next morning.
