Loren & Lou had a beautiful wedding day…
They started their day at home surrounded by family, and then eventually moved over to their ceremony/reception space. The morning & early afternoon were spent eating with family, laughing with siblings & parents, and running around getting ready. I’m a super sentimental person, so I really wanted to capture their pre-ceremony photos to show how special it was.
Some of my favorite details & moments from this day:
- Loren’s memorial bouquet- she had images of family members who had passed hanging from her bouquet. Such a small, but intimate way to include those who couldn’t be there.
- Loren’s parents giving Lou a “No Returns” policy book. Absolutely unexpected, but hilarious.
- Loren’s grandmother unexpectedly asked to give a toast. She sang her wedding song to Lou & Loren. Yes, I definitely cried.
The reception started to get a little too crazy, so Loren, Lou, Danni (my second photographer), and I snuck out to go do some couple portraits by the water. They had a guest there who happened to have a drone in his car and we invited him, too. We saw the drone footage night of and it was amazing! I was so glad he was there to help us capture some additional footage/photos by the water.
